VFL: Roosters down Pies in stirring win

17 August 2015

North Ballarat have ended Collingwood's unbeaten run at home with a stirring come-from-behind win in round 18 of the Peter Jackson VFL. It was the Magpies first home-and-away loss at Victoria Park since round 11 last year and they now face an uphill battle to make the top four.

Trailing by 25 points at the final change, the Roosters piled on seven goals to two in the final quarter to win 17.15.117 to 17.7.109. Small forward Andrew Hooper finished with a game-high five goals and Nick Couch booted four while North Melbourne listed trio Ryan Bastinac (44 disposals, 18 contested), Trent Dumont (36) and Brad McKenzie (28) starred in the win.
